The Tory election campaign is horrific from a Conservative perspective because it has offered the politically aware a glimpse of the true nature of this vile, vicious, vacuous British nationalist regime. The party has failed to conceal Theresa May’s ineptitude and to disguise its own pandering to right wing extremism. While this evidently distresses Rod Liddle, the rest of us should be grateful for the kind of revelations which allow us to make informed choices.
Living in Scotland, I am able to comment on the worshipping of Theresa May and the demonisation of Jeremy Corbyn as a somewhat detached observer. It is an unedifying spectacle. But then, it’s British politics. We can expect nothing better. The sooner Scotland breaks free of the British state, the sooner we can fully embrace our own distinctive political culture.
We can do better. We can defend our democratic rights. We can protect our public services. We can safeguard our democratic institutions. We can rid Scotland of ALL the British parties. We can bring our government home. We can vote SNP.
